Lisa
Isted
Lisa
lives in Holcombe and has been taking photographs since
the age of 7, when she was given a 120 roll-film Brownie
camera for her birthday. She has always specialised in
landscape work, and is especially interested in exploring
rhythmic forms and the effects of changing light on the
landscape, resulting in some strikingingly 'abstract'
pictures. Her work also includes photography for University
publications, weddings and wedding anniversary photography
and, most recently the pictures for the Holcombe Village
Design Statement. She is also currently working on a commission
to photograph monasteries in the UK for a book to be published
by Yale University Press. Lisa now uses digital equipment
for much of her work, but also still favours both 35mm
and medium format film, although her current roll-film
camera is a little more sophisticated than the Brownie.....
When
she is not making photographs, she works as an Assistant
Registrar and Head of the Graduate Office in the Academic
Registry at the University of Bath, and is a Parish Councillor
in Holcombe.
