I
have been painting for as long as I can remember, as my
mother is an artist and there were always paintings around
the house as I was growing up!
After working full-time as a Civil Servant for twenty
years, I then worked part-time for the Bath Chronicle
which freed up some time for me to spend more time doing
Art and Crafts, notably Embroidery, Stained Glass, Mosaics
and Pastel Painting. My main interest of Flower Painting
took over and steered me to take a Botanical Painting
course, the outcome of which I became one of the founder
members of the Bath Society of Botanical Artists.
I have exhibited in the South West of England and in Ireland.
My paintings have found their ways to many different countries
including the USA and Australia.
Although I specialise in painting flowers in water colour,
I also paint landscapes and other subjects in water colour,
acrylic and mixed media.
