Philip Ledbury

Born in Frome, Somerset in 1949 I started painting in the early 1990's; everything I painted I gave to family and friends.
In 2004 I was diagnosed with leukaemia and given a term of 3 to 5 years. As painting is therapeutic and involves using little energy I paint with a vengeance and have painted close to 200 pictures since diagnosis.
I am employed by Framptons Ltd as Special Project Manager and as a result of this I met Shepton based sculptor Jeff Body, who has encouraged me to paint and arranged my first exhibition at the Poachers Pocket near Shepton Mallet.
I am a member of the Old Bakery Artists.
