Sarah
Goffin
BA (Hons)
Since
training as an illustrator I have used my skills to paint
woodland landscapes incorporating wildlife, water under
trees, dappled sunlight through leaves, and farming themes.
I
enjoy working with bright colour and researching my pictures
as thoroughly as possible. I want to communicate a mood
to the viewer as well as a faithful representation of
a place, season and inhabitants.
Since
moving back to Somerset and joining the Old Bakery Artists
I have been exploring the landscape and gaining inspiration
from getting to know a place in all weathers. I hope my
paintings evoke a sense of place.
I
take my inspiration from paintings by Egon Schiele, Kurt
Jackson and local artist David Parfitt.
Now
a published artist, my work is currently exhibited at
the Yellow Moon Gallery in Holcombe and I can be contacted
by email at sarah@yellowmoongallery.co.uk
